What do you like about Albuquerque? The food and the sky. Albuquerque has great sunsets!
What do you dislike about Albuquerque? The people in Albuquerque are not very friendly. The men are not gentlemanly at all and sometimes you have to be afraid of who you look at because they may shoot at you.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? I used to love the UNM area and Nob Hill, there are some great restaurants and you may run into someone who is more educated and interested in other parts of the world. They have been trying to renevate downtown and it seems to be coming along well.
How expensive is it? Rediculously expensive for what you get. This city of maybe 500,000 people doesn't have much to offer as far as entertainment and the prices for housing are right up there with larger cities like Denver or Pheonix.
Is it safe? It is definitely not the safest place to live! Like I said earlier if you do not look at anyone you may not get shot at.
How is the weather? Summer is HOT and into the high 90's and low 100's with low humidity. Fall is great. Winter is pretty mild with maybe 2 snows during the season (though they never stick and are melted by next day!). Spring is nice too.
Additional thoughts? Albuqerque could be a nice city if they put a little money into bigger things like maybe some sporting events or just tried to educate their people better. I wish that you didn't have to pay a premium to live in a small town like city with nothing to offer but a pretty sky and dangerous neighborhoods.

What do you like about Albuquerque? We liked it for the live and let live attitude; but that has changed. And it had a mild climate
What do you dislike about Albuquerque? It is in serious decline. Labs are cutting back which has really changed feel of city, not as artsy or intellectual. Mayor Barry has let the city get out of control. Police are committing murder on a near monthly basis and nothing is done about it. We are closing our office here because we can no longer attract talent to this town.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Nob Hill.
How expensive is it?
Is it safe? No, and you are at risk from the Police as well as criminal.
How is the weather? It used to have a nice climate, in last five years summers have gotten hotter and winters have gotten colder. Plus the un-ending drought.

Additional thoughts? Avoid. If we were deciding today we would not move here.
