What do you like about Chicago? The people, the events, food, parks.
What do you dislike about Chicago? Winter weather and parking.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Downtown and the Wrigleyville area.
How expensive is it? Fairly expensive, but bargains can be found.
Is it safe? It is the safest big city I hav lived in, and I have also lived in Miami and Tucson.
How is the weather? Brutally cold during the winter, but summers are very nice
Additional thoughts? The people here are much more approachable than in other cities. When the wind chill is -10 however, would you want to strike up a conversation on the street?

What do you like about Chicago?- It has its own attitude. The transportation can get you anywhere and the music scene is awesome too.
What do you dislike about Chicago?- Some of the bums scare the crap out of me, it also is still really segregated.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?- I love Lakeview, especially Belmont and Clark. Lincoln Park is a great place too. I was never really a big fan of the loop but it has some things, especially Millenium Park.
How expensive is it?- It's pretty pricey.
Is it safe?- Unless you grew up there stay away from the West and the South. It also has the highest homocide rate.
How is the weather?- Winter is Hell, Spring and summer not so bad.
Additional thoughts?- It's a great place if you're real into bar hopping, other than that finding something to do can get difficult, especially if you're under 21.
