What do you like about Tucson? User-friendly, easy to live in. Wages are low but so are rents. It's unpretentious. Phoenix tried to make itself pretty but it turned out horrific. Tucson doesn't even bother and it's fine.

What do you dislike about Tucson? Soaring house prices without wage increases. Thanks jerky Californians! Also, Californians who move in, price locals out of their own house market, and then try to gain influence with city councilmembers and others to change the city to their liking. GET THE F--- OUT!
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? 4th Ave., downtown, West Campus, swap meet.
How expensive is it? Compared to other places, cheap. But that crap doesn't matter because it's people HERE who have to try to buy a $270k house on 1998's wages thanks to all the outside investors going on a feeding frenzy here.
Is it safe? For the most part yes.
How is the weather? I like it just fine. The heat doesn't bug me the way it apparently ruins other people's lives.
Additional thoughts? I love Tucson but I seem to be in the minority. Californians with money seem to love it as long as they can mold it the way they want to, which has the effect of making the city suck just a little bit more every year.

What do you like about Tucson? The dry, warm weather beats that of many areas. Also, the desert environment is very scenic.
What do you dislike about Tucson? The people. For the most part, Tucson residents are uneducated, closed-minded, arrogant individuals who have no respect for intellect or culture. Rather, they love to get drunk, play pool, and smoke cigarettes (including the "magic" cigarettes). The people here place way too much value on looks and athletics. In addition, Tucsonans often lie to your face with huge, ear-to-ear smiles on their faces and to boot, the yellow teeth show from all the smoking. You can't trust anyone in Tucson. Watch out!
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? I guess the area around the U of A is neat.
How expensive is it? Not very, but the slave wages paid here makes it seem like you are living in Manhatten.
Is it safe? There are too many gangs for it to be considered safe.
How is the weather? Very hot and dry in the summer but the other three seasons offer some of the best weather in the country.
Additional thoughts? Tucson would be a decent place if the residents would not be the way they are. I also wish they wouldn't rank on people from other states coming here with different ideas. Tucsonans need to open their minds to new, fresh concepts that could truly improve the community. Other parts of Arizona, like the Phoenix area, Sedona, and Flagstaff, are very nice.
