For ANYONE, ANYWHERE, who is of retirement age, and are unable to afford to live in the city you lived and worked in all of your life, and who may be considering moving to an \\\\\\\"AFFORDABLE\\\\\\\" area, and are considering the Hemet/San Jacinto area to spend your retirement years, TAKE HEED and FORGET IT! Today I saw a sign that a building of condos was to be constructed dead in the middle of a slum area of San Jacinto. Now come on. Who would ever consider buying a condo in this barren, bum and mental patient infested area that is clearly in economic decline. I made the mistake of moving to San Jacinto a year and a half ago, and have not lived one day without regret. The heat is unbearable (100-115, but as high as 121) for six months of the year and then turns cold into the thirties at night. The climate is vicious in the winter and twice as vicious in the summer. There is nothing here but Walmart, mecca of the sub-human, churches on every corner, that incidentally, control all politics in SJ (for the children of course), schools every two blocks, thousands of little \\\\\\\"germ bag” off spring of the subhuman, not to mention being a drop off point for the LA prison system. It is said, a deal has been struck to release homeless LA jail inmates into the Hemet/San Jacinto area, rather than to return them to the streets of LA. They are simply bused here to roam the streets, begging. And to enhance your shopping experience, homeless released inmates are joined on the streets by local homeless mental hospital patients on furlough for the day. There is absolutely no ambiance here other than dirt and rocks, with a back drop of more dirt and rocks. No beauty of any kind. Be very cautious about any place described as \\\\\\\"affordable\\\\\\\" that actually translates to \\\\\\\"shithole\\\\\\\", not fit for human habitation. San Jacinto is an affordable (shithole) too, but the toll of being affordable will take on your life, will be intolerable. If you are disabled and totally unable to leave your home, this area, or any other for that matter, will pose no problem for you, but if you have any life left in you at all, you will be sequestered at home almost 100% of the year and develop a hate that you never felt was possible. Instead...... as options to moving here, first, would be to dig yourself a hole in the side of some nearby canyon and set up your home. Second, if digging a cave doesn\'t appeal to you, the only other sensible option is to commit suicide. Even suicide would be better than moving to the affordable Hemet/San Jacinto area. All Internet references to living in the Hemet/San Jacinto area are total bullshit just to sucker unsuspecting retiree to the area with their fixed, but dependable incomes. Health problems will only be exacerbated by the severe climate. Breathing in the summer will be impossible, forcing you to stay indoors. Simply taking a walk in the summer sun is risking heat stroke. Winter cold will only further your arthritis and disfigure you more. Your now minor sinus conditions, will morph into excruciating life changing episodes. The severity of the weather will totally control your life. Not to forget the “clouds” of communicable contagious diseases spread throughout every public place, from the hoards of children residing in this third world area. Realtors of any and all persuasions will lie, and especially deceive you by not stating material facts about the area that might effect the sale. Be especially careful of park managers who double as park realtors, with or without, a CA real Estate License. They are particularly deceitful. All they care about is the commission money, and not one damn about the misery you are about to embark upon. Ask your realtor how much of this is not true. Take my experienced word for it. DO NOT move to the Hemet/San Jacinto area. You will regret it until your last breath, and be wishing your next breath, if you can get it, will be your last breath. YOU COULD NOT DO WORSE TO YOUR LIFE
