What do you like about Brisbane? Weather, atmosphere, culture, size. The public transport makes sense and gets you everywhere you need to go. The city contains a large array of beautiful buildings, both old and new, the shopping is varied, but not overwhelmingly expensive, it is mostly clean and tidy and small, but has an urban atmosphere, and an energy of its own, and an arts and music scene. Most people are friendly, the homeless people want a chat, not a fight. It smells of sand and chips and ice cream and marijuana. The river is full of boats, and the city is full of buskers and kids . Newsagent owners remember your name, and you see the same people on the train every day. The beer is cheap and comes in jugs, and young people still share house in decrepit mansions. The coffee shops are warm and sell leaf tea and are full of hippies. The girls wear bikini tops in summer and the fatties stick to the outer suburbs.

What do you dislike about Brisbane? The bogan suburbs, the illegibly foreign Nightowl employees, the skin cancer.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? West End, The Valley, Southbank, the south side.

How expensive is it? If you know where to look and are not too fussy, cheap as chips.

Is it safe? I have hung out under bridges in the Valley alone at 3am and come to no harm.

How is the weather? Beautiful, if you can avoid heat stroke.

Additional thoughts?

What do you like about Brisbane?
Busy, individualism is definitely not appreciated but does not draw attention either.
What do you dislike about Brisbane?
Primitive, limited intelligence.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Semantics, favourite is too strong. The city is alright, further out, the less and less there is.
How expensive is it?
As expected for the size of the city, slightly smaller *ciities* such as Adelaide are less expensive.
Is it safe?
Can pigs fly, of course it is safe.
How is the weather?
For the sensor types, look it up.
Additional thoughts?
Good for jobs and QLD weather but not a city for those wanting to be challenged / wanting deeper meaning.
