What do you like about Hong Kong? Hong Kong is interesting in both its openness to international culture, and its rich and diverse local culture. Everything is readily available here, the city is a jack of all trades, and master of many. Cuisine, tourism, and fashion, to name a few, are major attractions to Hong Kong and reasons why it\'s such an enjoyable place to be in.
What do you dislike about Hong Kong? It\'s very materialistic and though living standards are quite high, so is the cost(mostly). Housing is extremely expensive due to the current state of the market, reaching levels comparable to NYC in terms of ridiculous prices.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? I\'m a big tech person so the computer and electronics malls in Sham Shui Po are a go-to for me. Central District and Kowloon for general shopping and food. The major theme parks, Disneyland and Ocean Park, are great fun too. Though they are tiny compared to Disney World or Universal Studios and the like, You can\'t really blame them since HK is such a samll place to begin with.
How expensive is it? Depends on which part of the city you want to visit. Central District and Causeway Bay will burn through your wallets, Kwun Tong and Sham Shui Po are more down to Earth.
Is it safe? Very. Crime rates are extremely low, Police forces are efficient, just don\'t go into dark alleys at night like a r*tard and expect not to get mugged.
How is the weather? Very pleasant, a bit on the warmer side since it\'s pretty much tropical.
Additional thoughts? Hong Kong is a mixed bag of everything capitalism strives to be, and sincere local culture that has absolutely nothing to do with capitalism. It\'s probably the most interesting place on the planet in terms of people and events, and I\'m certainly glad that I was born here to experience everything first hand.
