What do you like about Ardmore? it's easy to get around. the people are very friendly, and it's close to lake murray and the arbuckle mountains. sadie bella. the ardmore little theatre is a really good little community theatre group. lots of doctores - good place to be if you get sick! our church is nice and low key.
What do you dislike about Ardmore? not enough restaurants, and the mall is a joke (there's no food court, and about 10 stores - jc penney, stage, goody's, claire's, hobby lobby, the buckle, u.s. cellular, an electronics store, a jewelry place, some women's boutique, and the army recruiting station) i won't go near the movie theater - it's a joke. 5 screens, threadbare carpet, sticky floors, rude employees, and outrageous ticket prices.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? i like to look at the gorgeous old houses near downtown on the letter streets and along stanley street sw - they're pretty. but my in-laws live in one, ans we live with them. thus i've decided i prefer more a more modern look - i like stable wiring and large bathrooms.
How expensive is it? dirt cheap compared to where I came from (Fort Worth, Texas)
Is it safe? seems to be
How is the weather? i hear it's hot. i don't go outside in the month of august unless forced, so i'm speaking on a secondhand basis, here.
Additional thoughts? i would prefer to live somewhere with a few more conveniences and more open minded/liberal people. we want to move to norman next year, and i think that might be a nice place to live.
