What do you like about Youngstown? Very Little, maybe good Italian Restaurants.
What do you dislike about Youngstown? Everything, should be voted the least progressive city in the USA. The people are rude, loud and obnoxious.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? None
How expensive is it? Super Cheap
Is it safe? As much as I dislike this place, I would like to dispel the myth that it is a dangerous city. It is only dangerous in specific neighborhoods, and they are "Hoods". The outlining suburbs are safe, as is the immediate downtown area.
How is the weather? Horrific
Additional thoughts? Youngstown stinks. As a life long resident and a business owner I can say that I am very close to pulling the plug, uprooting my business and my family to save them from this god forsaken place. I would never suggest someone moving here or staying here, and please never start a business here. Having relatives who own businesses in other states, I can say that Ohio, particularly Youngstown (and the surrounding suburbs)is the most inhospitable, almost hostile place to own a business.

What do you like about Youngstown? Cost of living.
What do you dislike about Youngstown? The people.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? There are no good parts. Nothing toi do there either.
How expensive is it? Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
Is it safe? HELL NO!!!
How is the weather? Sucks most of the year. Summer is not too bad.
Additional thoughts?
I defected from the People's Democratic Republic (PDR) of Youngstown 279 days ago and reclaimed my US citizenship in Miami, FL. I see a lot of folks here agree with me about how much PDR Youngstown sucks and there is absolutely NOTHING to do there. I tried to live there for 3+ years and found the people there narrow minded, non-progressive, and very unfriendly. If you couldn't talk about something that happened at some local high school back in 1978, you had nothing to talk about. Current events! These people live in the past.

I never really comprehended how bad PDR Youngstown was until I defected. I am so happy now. There is life out there beyond PDR Youngstown. You have to escape from PDR Youngstown to find it.

My advice, do not move to PDR Youngstown. If you are already there, find a way to escape. Even if you have to bribe a boarder guard.
