it's a really good sized city to live in. small enough for all those little "small world" coinkydinks, but large enough to have some amount of diversity and things to do. we have good theatres, malls, parks, and food joints. the cost of living compared to wages are easy enough for most just-outta-college'ers to start off their lives without a lot of problems, but real estate across the river in east grand forks is loads cheaper.
it's a pretty safe town - no gangs or mafia for miles. kind of popular for meth heads though, because it's surrounded by farming.
we have distinct seasons; summers are great and perfect but winters are too long and cold. gf is also one of the most concentrated places in the... nation? state? region? something big, not sure... anyway, it's a very concentrated place for art. we love our theatre stuff.
