What do you like about Cape Cod?
Compaered to the rest of Massachusetts, Cape Cod doesn't get very hot in the summer. Also, there is a liberal population for the most part. There are also nice beaches and Cape Cod is not a big area in terms of population- except in the Summer when all of the tourists arrive.

What do you dislike about Cape Cod? Not enough forests and too many summer homes. It doesn't get cold enough in the Winter. There are too many tourists in the Summer.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Brewster, Chatham, and Orleans are the best towns I think, though Provincetown is the most fun. We don't have many big stores- only one mall- but there are still good ones... the Earth House in Orleans is wonderful as is Barnes and Nobles.

How expensive is it?
Quite- the average cost of a house ( a normal sized house... three or four bedrooms, two bathrooms) is over $400,000.

Is it safe?

How is the weather?
Quite mild- mild summers and mild winters. We don't really get a Spring, though, as it pretty much goes from Winter to Summer.

Additional thoughts?
Nice place to grow up in and such, but not the most exciting place.

What do you like about Cape Cod?
Incredibly beautiful & serene. Once you know people & have the scene down it gets very familiar, very quickly.
What do you dislike about Cape Cod?
Very familiar very quickly- for any new, exciting thing you either have to head to Boston or Providence (ea. 90min. away) or wait until summertime when all the culture & tourists come.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Provincetown is a cultural mecca here; anywhere along Rt.6A is bound to be worthwhile. Main St. Hyannis can be fun too. In the summer, a visit to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard is sublime!
How expensive is it?
About the same as Boston, & it gets more exclusive each year; seems like the rich get richer & the poor get poorer here.
Is it safe?
Very much so, for the average person. Although, many of my piers have begun to emmulate urban hip-hop culture, so in recent years (the past 10) there has been a huge spike in assaults, murders, drug trafficking & use- mainly among a select group of people.
How is the weather?
Almost typically New England, but more mild because of the surrounding ocean.
Additional thoughts?
Nice place for retirees, child rearing & summer life, but not for 20-somethings.
