What do you like about Red Oak? No traffic jams; not a noisey place.
What do you dislike about Red Oak? Very much a small town. Smells from the stored corn sometimes. People are not friendly enough. Too cliquish. Too many snobs, rednecks, and druggies. The farmers can be close-minded. Totally Christian. Very little for entertainment: mostly bars, church, high school sports, a few organizations, fast food places, YMCA. Limited shopping. Omaha is not close enough.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? The parks.
How expensive is it? Not bad.
Is it safe? Reasonably so, yes. Some crime such as vandalism, theft.
How is the weather? We have: blizzards, droughts, floods, tornado watches. But nice weather, too.
Additional thoughts? Red Oak is beautifying Broadway with landscaping. Children are safe here, and we finally have some ethnic diversity.
