What do you like about Durango? I like the scenery and "outdoorsy" feel to it. It's got an incredible variety of restaurants and brew-pubs within THREE BLOCKS of each other on Main Street. Skiing is great, as well as the hiking, biking, and just general outdoor activities.

What do you dislike about Durango? UNBELIEVABLY expensive to live here...that's about it. Very, very expensive (houses, rent, etc). BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Main Street...so lively and so many places to go and things to do. Just incredible.

How expensive is it? For a small to medium size house you are typically looking at around a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS...no joke. Larger houses, near Main Street or up in the hills, and you're easily in the $5 MILLION range. AGAIN, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Is it safe? Very, very safe.

How is the weather? Mild. Cool mornings and evenings in the summer, mild in the Spring and Fall, and warm sunny days in the Winter. It does dump a substantial amount of snow between December and February, but Durango City Govt keeps the streets clear almost all the time. Just perfect, perfect weather. I've lived in a LOT of places, and Durango has by far the BEST weather anywhere, any time of the year (GORGEOUS!!!).
