What do you like about Providence? Lots to do
What do you dislike about Providence? The attitude, the weather, driving
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? The East side
How expensive is it? Fairly expensive - dominated by students, but they're students at expensive private schools!
Is it safe? Pretty safe. Lots of petty crime (vandalism, stolen car stereos) little to no violent crime
How is the weather? Sucks. Cruel winters and humid, unenjoyable summers.
Additional thoughts? A nice place to visit or live during the school year - NOT a place I'd want to settle down or raise a family

Providence - "The city of shit" or "The ghetto of Boston"

I recently visited providence (spelled with a lower case for good reason) in order to visit a hookah bar that is unfortunately located there. I look up directions online and I'm on my way. My excitement was soon disrupted by a forest of pot holes and detour signs that my car and I were cursing every step of the way. Due to the poor roads and unfinished construction I lost my way to the bar. I finally made it to east side, which made me feel a little better because, at least in east side, someone could afford a gun to shoot you with as opposed to the brutal stabbing you would be sure to receive any where else in that seventh circle of hell they, for some reason, call a city. I've been in what seemed some bad neighborhoods, but I've never seen a city that seemed more run down and uncared for than providence. Stay away at all costs. In fact, if you need to get to boston and you live in connecticut, take the long way. I hate providence. The college kids were nice enough to direct where I needed to go though, i will say that. I'd rather spend a day waving the confederate flag shouting "white power" through harlem than try to drive through providence. If anyone's looking for a political office then I believe the mayor's office should be open. Must be a pretty easy job; all you do is put your shit everywhere and don't finish your road construction. I've seen more intellectual people in west hartford than I did in providence. Sorry Brown, but your hipster students do nothing more than annoy me. Fix yourself, providence. Jesus Christ.
