What do you like about New York City?
Nothing closes, can get ANYWHERE in the city for two dollars, great for the arts, great restaurants, culturally diverse
What do you dislike about New York City?
Tourists that get in front of me and crane their necks to see how tall a building is, huge crowds
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Chinatown, Soho, Chelsea, Lincoln Center (NYCOpera and Metropolitan Opera), Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights
How expensive is it?
It's a city! Real estate is ridiculous. I think it's fair to say that on the whole it is cheaper than L.A. Still, there are great things to do, places to go, and restaurants to eat at that are inexpensive.
Is it safe?
It's one of the safest big cities in the country. Way safer than Baltimore or DC.
How is the weather?
Winters can be brutal, but nothing like Rochester or Boston. Summers can be hot, but the heat is made worse by the multitude of people. You'll be praying that your train comes as soon as you go down the stairs to the platform in the summers.
Additional thoughts?
Love New York! I've lived here my whole life, and I always miss it when I'm gone.

How expensive is it?
Is it safe? so-so. i have yet to be the victim of any sort o' crime, but i've seen potential fist fights in the making. Meaningless and violent yellings are commonplace here.
How is the weather? it changes. as weather is apt to do. somedays it is sunny. other days it rains. often times there are clouds.
