What do you like about New York City?
Its history and the wide variety of things to do. The huge amount of cultural outlets.

What do you dislike about New York City?
Crowds and tourists, the Times Square Area (for that reason)

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
The West Village, Alphabet City, Lincoln Center, Washington Heights, Innwood, Museum Mile (this is just Manhattan)

How expensive is it?
It depends. It's pricey, but it's a city. Some things are absolutely ridiculous, but sometimes you can find a good deal.

Is it safe?
Depends on the area, but I've never really felt unsafe, and I've been everywhere, many different times of the day.

How is the weather?
Decent, but too hot in Summers.

Additional thoughts?
I'm planning on relocating there within five years. There's truly no place like New York. It's a phenomenon on its own.

What do you like about New York City? It's all packed together, it's easy to get around, the way people dress up "conservative", the nice restaurants...etc.
What do you dislike about New York City? Everything is so small, hotel rooms are very small, bathrooms are too small, traffic sacks, pollution, no green and no sun. Too many people too close. People are rude.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Central Park, Central Terminal, Port.
How expensive is it? Very.
Is it safe? OK in crowded areas, but dangerous in the allies and dark streets.
How is the weather? snow and cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.
Additional thoughts? It's a nice city and easy to get around, quite dirty overall, but nice, the subway is great (bit dirty) but works very well. A very nice museums and theaters but not as intellectual as I expected (a bit overrated in this way).
