What do you like about Newark?
Low rent, cool pubs, lots of culture, close to everything, and it's on the upswing.

What do you dislike about Newark?
Crime, panhandlers, still a lot of abandoned buildings.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
The Newark museum, the Hamilton Pub, Newark Bears games, great places to skate.

How expensive is it?
Compared to the rest of the area, it is exceptionally reasonable.

Is it safe?
For the most part, yes. It doesn't deserve the reputation it has, but you should use common sense. The downtown area is about as safe as any other major city.

How is the weather?
Hot in the summer, cold in the winter, awesome in the spring and fall.

Additional thoughts?
Newark seems to be on its way to becoming the next Hoboken, Jersey City, etc.

How expensive is it? Not too bad at all
Is it safe? Some parts

How is the weather? Same as New York City (we're 8 minutes from Manhattan)

Additional thoughts?Alot of people dont give New Jersey credit Form being the shoulder than New York City has to lean on. Moat people dont know that 80% of celebrities in the New York area all live in Northern NJ. And alot of New Yorkers also shop in NJ due to its tax-free clothes
