What do you like about Springfield? You can buy twice for half the price you would pay in Boston.

What do you dislike about Springfield? You only make 2/3 the Boston salary and for some reason city and automobile expenses are through the roof.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? To live northern section of forest park or 16 acres sections are good stable neighborhood where you can feel safe. For hanging out there are a few good spots downtown.

How expensive is it? You only make 2/3 the Boston salary and for some reason city and automobile expenses are through the roof.

Is it safe? Within the above mentioned neighborhoods yes. Downtown is OK during the day and gets kinda sketchy at night.

How is the weather? Typical New England (if you don't like the weather wait a minute)

Additional thoughts? Before relocating to Springfield line up a good job with an established employer and a good pay rate for the area. You can live well here if you are well paid.
