What do you like about Cambridge?
Diversity and creativity, accessibility, sense of community.
What do you dislike about Cambridge?
High real estate costs, gentrification.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Cambridgeport (live), Central Sq./Harvard Sq. (hang out)
How expensive is it?
Fairly expensive, but with more pockets of affordable compared to surrounding areas.
Is it safe?
Fairly safe, but its still a city.
How is the weather?
Extremely New England (hot/cold/now what?!). And raining like the plague the last few years.
Additional thoughts?
After living in the Boston area in various locales for 12 years, and visiting countless other cities, could not imagine moving to the Boston side of the river again. Would take up residence in a like-minded, similarly intimate place like Providence or Portland, Or, or pockets in the Bay Area first.

What do you like about Cambridge? I like the restaurants and diversity.
What do you dislike about Cambridge? It's too liberal -- liberal is usually a good thing in my estimation, but I think Cambridge swings too far left.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Harvard Square is too touristy - try Central or Inman Squares, or step out to Davis Square in Somerville.
How expensive is it? very expensive
Is it safe? very safe
How is the weather? unlivable in summer or winter, but fall and spring are gorgeous
Additional thoughts? personality is typical new england. not too friendly, but very intense.
