What do you like about Boston?
I like beginnings of the summer that are not too humid. Also that people cannot smoke indoors anymore

What do you dislike about Boston?
I dislike the common attitude of "who is your daddy and what does he do?", the constant onslaught of stereotypes about anyone who is different, the lack of different cultures, identities, or ideas, as well as the lack of thinking outside the box, going against the grain, and walking off the beaten path. I also can't stand the winters, the snow, and that there is no place to go while under 21. Also, everything closes at 6pm, and the only social activities that are acceptable or available to people are to go drinking, either at the club, or the pub. That is your diversity: Club Dancing, or Sports Pub. I also don't like that "vegetarian/vegan" is practically unheard of.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
In Somerville at Diesel Cafe or at friend's homes.

How expensive is it?
Very. To drive it's very expensive, and finding a gas station downtown is impossible, and to use public transit is just as costly. Expect to pay $5-15 on transit, $15-25 on dinner, and shopping is ridiculous.

Is it safe?
Do you consider drunk men clamoring out of sports bars, all excited from the game to be safe for women?

How is the weather?
Cold from October - April, warm in May-June, Hot and Humid from June-September.

Additional thoughts?
For being a "college" town, I have yet to meet more than a handful of interesting philosophical people who know that there is more to life than GPA or salary. Sadly enough, I had make these connections online through Tribe.net, and then meet them at events in person.

What do you like about Boston?
Lots to do. Most people are educated and fun to get to know. The segregation keeps things in line.

What do you dislike about Boston?
The politics here are drifting into socialism.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
The best part is getting on the commuter rail and getting out of the city before the sun sets.

How expensive is it?
Very.

Is it safe?
Of course. You just have to know the right neighborhoods.

How is the weather?
Constantly changing. Spring and fall are great. Winters can be very icy.

Additional thoughts?
I came here 14 years ago and have never turned back.
