What do you like about Boston? It is diverse and there's something for everyone. It's also a very walkable city plus the T is great.
What do you dislike about Boston? Nothing. It's not as expensive as New York and its easy to get away, if you ever wanted to.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Either Back Bay or Downtown. I love to just hang out and people watch. Kenmore is cool too, down by Fenway. Landsdowne St. is THE place for live shows.
How expensive is it? It could be worse.
Is it safe? Yes. Some areas are sketchy, especially at night, but the majority of the city is ok.
How is the weather? Fall is the best season to come. The spring is rainy, the winter is tough and the summer can get wicked hot and humid.

What do you like about Boston? The diversity. There are a lot of interesting people here, from all walks of life and all corners of the globe. There is a great intellectual culture here. Free lectures and cultural events happening every day. Its a big city with some of the best cultural institutions in the nation, and yet it is small enough to be walkable and manageable.

What do you dislike about Boston? it costs a lot. traffic sucks.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? the Museum of Science or Museum of Fine Arts on friday nights for their events. Harvard Sq for the street performances on weekend and the lectures and film archive, not to mention the Brattle theater, which is an awesome indie movie theater. Chinatown and the north end for the food. Allston for the live music. Newbury street for the shopping.

How expensive is it? wicked expensive

Is it safe? most areas are very safe.

How is the weather? winter can be rough, summer can be humid, the rest is fantastic

Additional thoughts? best city in the nation to be young and single in
