What do you like about Chicago?
The food, buildings, L, people, culture, everything.

What do you dislike about Chicago?
Underfunded mass transit.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
The Loop, North Side

How expensive is it?
Pretty expensive near the Loop.

Is it safe?
Not on the West Side or the near South Side.

How is the weather?
Chaotic. It can be subzero one day, then snowing, raining the next, then very warm after that. One thing that's pretty common all year long is wind; the Windy City lives up to its name, even though that's not what it means

Additional thoughts?
Chicago is the greatest city in the world. Period.

What do you like about Chicago? Beautiful architecture, great big-city atmosphere, friendly people, great museums and community centers, history, pretty natural setting (the river and the lake) nice suburbs, Northwestern University, pizerria uno and due, shopping, especially marshall fields, great theater
What do you dislike about Chicago? the weather, especially in winter, can be terrible, the wind can be bone-chilling, especially on the lake, the city is quite pricey
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Definitely the Loop, with all the great restaurants and shops, and its in the middle of all the cultural centers too, museums and theater
How expensive is it? Nothing unexpected for a big city, quite pricey, especially to like in the loop.
Is it safe? No different than big American cities-you just have to be smart
How is the weather? basic midwestern, bad winters, summers are sometimes really bad, but spring, fall, and parts of summer are great
Additional thoughts? This city is really alive, its very cosmopolitan and diverse like new york but not quite as big, which may appeal to a lot of people
