What do you like about Atlanta? mostly nice weather, lots of trees, pretty diverse
What do you dislike about Atlanta? *very* closed-minded outside the perimeter (OTP), very conservative in parts, traffic, people are selfish drivers
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? decatur, east atlanta
How expensive is it? getting more and more expensive. good real estate bargains are out there but they're hard to find.
Is it safe? if you watch your back and stay smart.
How is the weather? mostly great, but too hot and humid in summer. summer rain showers are intense but short-lived (as in hours). snows 1-2 days per year and sometimes sticks.
Additional thoughts? after growing up here and returning post college, *really* ready to get out of this place. if you're into the yuppy bar scene, atlanta's got the nitelife for you. you can find almost everything here, but the overall feel is the aforementioned yuppy bar/pub scene. racially it's diverse, but more of a salad bowl than a melting pot.

What do you like about Atlanta?Nice People, laid back atmosphere, suburbs, Great place to raise a family
What do you dislike about Atlanta? Traffic, life can get boring if your single and live outside of 285. Bunch of chain stores/resaurants.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?Ive been here all my life so im ready for somthing new, its all the same.
How expensive is it? Cost of living is pretty good for a single person if you can make atleast $28k/yr.
Is it safe? Outside of 285, yes. The further from the city, the better.
How is the weather? If you have allergies you will suffer in the spring time.
Additional thoughts? Since we have the international airport here, lots of diverse people from different backgrounds are moving here, but like someone mentioned, its more of a salad bowl than a melting pot. People are outwardly nice, but still conservative when it comes to dating, especially outside of the perimeter.
