What do you like about Orlando?
It's a place where you can disappear into a group of tourists that don't know you. You have easy access to 7 world-class roller coasters.

What do you dislike about Orlando?
The city is stuck in limbo between being a small city and turning into a major metropolis. If you move here, you never feel like this is your permanent home, and you're always thinking of moving somewhere else. Liquor stops being served at 2am, and all bars/clubs must close by 3am.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Absolutely, positively stay as close to downtown as possible if you're young and/or single. Downtown, Winter Park, and College Park are great areas to live in, if you can afford it.

How expensive is it?
Believe it or not, the cost of living is comparable to Miami. This makes no sense, especially since there are so many people in low-paying service industry jobs (thanks to Disney and friends). Many people find it difficult to maintain a decent standard of living. It's not uncommon for people to have a full time job and a part time job. Rental and real estate prices are to the point of being almost as bad as the Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area (i.e., astronomical).

Is it safe?
It's about as safe as any other city, so keep your doors locked.

How is the weather?
The winters are nice because they are mild. The other seasons are extremely hot and humid, which is made worse by the fact that the city is not next to an ocean. You can set your watch by the thunderstorms in the summer that start every day around 4-6pm.

Anything else?
Before you move here, make sure you have a job lined up that pays at least $40k per year.
