What do you like about Gainesville?

It is a college town with good weather and the ability to live in nature and yet be close to downtown.
What do you dislike about Gainesville?

For a relatively small town, there is too much congestion. Also, student drivers are not the best.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?

I live just south of town, because it is out in nature and quiet. I like to hang out in downtown, near the Hypodrome State Theater.

How expensive is it?

Not expensive compared to most large metropolitan areas, more expensive than other towns in this area.

Is it safe?

Relatively safe compared to other towns in Florida; not as safe as many other college towns elsewhere.

How is the weather?

Great in the winter, too hot and humid in the summer.

Additional thoughts?

Unfortunately city is growing to the West, while much of the East side remains a slum.
