What do you like about San Francisco? It's beauty, it's culture, it's character, it's history, it's hills, it's fog, it's bridges, and the fact that you can have a fire on the beach, the food, and the markets.
What do you dislike about San Francisco? the cost, and the homless, and the intellectual elite who think that you must be crazy to have problems with anything in the liberal agenda.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? North Beach, Fillmore and California, The windmill in GG park, and the ferry building.
How expensive is it? ridiculously so.
Is it safe? yes, with a few exceptions. but even in the Tenderloin you're pretty safe as long as you're on a bus route.
How is the weather? Cloudy and foggy inland, and fairly moist. But if you live in the Richmond or on the other side of Twin Peaks you will have sunshine much of the time. And SF is beautiful in both fog and sun.
