What do you like about Edmonton?

I like how there are so many activites planned out all year long. People in Edmonton are really nice, as well as the schools. Edmonton has one of the best high schools in Alberta, Strathcona Composite High School which has been around for 100 years.

What do you dislike about Edmonton?

The snowy and dreadful long winters, as well as the snow removals. The city never removes the snow on time, leaving the citizens icy, slipery roads to deal with.

What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?

My favorite parts of the city would be Riverbend and West Edmonton Mall. There is everything in West Edmonton mall that you could possibly want to do for recreation.

How expensive is it?

It is pretty expensive nowadays to have a decent home, because all the oil, Alberta is the best place to live. People are moving in from all parts of Canada and the world, so places are full.

Is it safe?

Edmonton is pretty safe.It is full of nice people who are willing to help you. Even though Edmonton is Canada's most murdered sites city, the conditions are safe for everyone.

How is the weather?

The winters are cold but it is easy to deal with it. the summers are enjoyed be everyone.Winter, each year, begins to get less cold everytime.

Additional thoughts?

Many people think that Edmonton sucks, and it wouls suck living there; but it is actualli a fun plave to be living at.

What do you like about Edmonton? That the city is trying to clean the city up. When I was younger I thought the city was dirty in every possible way compared to other cities (like Calgary or Vancouver).
What do you dislike about Edmonton? How annoying and rude some "street people" aka bums can be. Seriously. I don't know why you're begging for money, but I'm working just to be broke and barely make it by. Go work at McDonalds. $8.50+ starting at most locations.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in? Jasper Avenue. Downtown. Or "escaping" to different areas of the city. ...Millwoods, Clareview, West End (specifically because friends live in these areas; nothing fancy or special about them at all, really).
How expensive is it? Apartments range from $500 to $1200 (and up, I'm sure) for one bedroom. Houses/condo prices have increased many thousands just in the past year according to the local news. My laundry prices went up 50 cents. EIGHT BUCKS TO DO TWO LOADS OF LAUNDRY -- AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO FINDS THIS INSANE?! ..The laundromats are no better. Geez.
Is it safe? Oh, I'm sure it is. You hear of stories though. Millwoods? Eek. To be on the safe side when going for walks, I talk to someone on my cell phone. You hear/see the odd crazy thing happening on the buses, but if you mind your own business you should be good.
How is the weather? This year, winter has been exceptional! The coldest it's been is -16 compared to normal -30 with -40 windchill. And yet people still complain. SHUT UP, PEOPLE. MOTHER NATURE LOVES US THIS YEAR. GEEZ. Watch the news sometime - we're not being hit with hurricanes (obviously), flurries, blahblahblah..
Additional thoughts? Anytime a bum asks you for money, it is polite to answer them. I use my phrase "Sorry, I don't carry cash." and 99% are completely fine with this. One guy kept begging me for money. "Please? I'll give you a hug!" "...I can get hugs for free, thanks." As if I wanted some stranger who lives on the streets touching me.
