What do you like about Magdeburg?
The various parks, beautiful lakes in the surroundings of the city, many neat bars in the city center
What do you dislike about Magdeburg?
The many superficial, overly tanned young people, that seek recognition with body building and pimped cars. The city's population is growing old, young people move away in order to get a job, that usually not available in this region
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
The quarters Stadtfeld and the Hasselbachplatz
How expensive is it?
Magdeburg's accomodation is moderate. Great for students that want to live on their own or in living communities. Bars are quite cheap also.
Is it safe?
Mostly yes. Nevertheless neofacists are a threat to foreigners and non-followers in the rather problematic quaters, far from the city center.
How is the weather?
1/3 of the days in the year it rains. Usually it is cloudy or sunny. The winters are cold, long and dry, summers are warm and humid.
