Don't waste your time, get a refund on your plane ticket and go to Bosnia. The Serbians will kill you and make you into sausages like they have done to every neighboring country.

Novi Sad is a beautiful city on the banks of the Danube river. The people there are accomodating and friendly. The food is some of the best i've tasted in all of my world travel.

Each summer Novi Sad hosts a transnational Music festival called EXIT FEST. The Fest, which i can only describe as the European Woodstock, is located atop the beautiful Fortress. There are great performers from all over the world at this weekend long festival and youth from all over Europe, and the world, flock to Novi Sad to meet and to listen to some great live bands.

My favorite part of the city is the Fortress that now houses cafes, a restaurant, artist space, and even a club.
Novi Sad is not expensive at all, and with just a little bit of money a person can experience a quality of life that is just wonderful.
