I am a student at Aberystwyth, and if it werent for my family then I wouldnt return. So why do I dislike Redditch, well it is rather a rubbish town if I can be honest. The night life is so rubbish, that most inhabitants end up going to Birmingham, and there isn't any where to go except for the lake or the shopping centre, and there is only so many times that you can do that before you get bored. Also, I dont feel safe walking around alone, where as here in Aber I can walk back home drunk and know that I wont come into harm, unlike walking back home sober. The cost of life is rather expensive, drinks are a lot cheaper here (whether that is because Aber is a student town or not I have no idea. It may sound sad, but I really miss Aberystwyth when I come back home to Redditch, and would gladly live here permanently. In fact I know a couple of students who have decided not to return to Redditch after University and I believe myself to be one of them.
