What do you like about Nottingham?
It a very fast growing city. It might became a great place to work/live in a few years time.
What do you dislike about Nottingham?
The fast growth means that apartment buildings sprout on every corner, you can trip over "outdoor" cafes on every street, it seems that Nottingham has become a town pretending to be a metropolis. There is also a high number of "chavs"
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
Certain suburbs are wonderful oasis, but the night life is concentrate in the city centre.
How expensive is it?
It's cheaper living here than in London, but not as cheap as living in Faro ^-~
Is it safe?
The local government is taking action against drunken behaviour and begging in the streets. They are both big problems here, as the number of students and young "professionals" is high, which, means they have lots of money to spend on partying and club hopping. Anti-social behaviour is also on the rise, and only last year, a law has been passed to curb it. Plus, there is a drug and weapon trafficking problems.
How is the weather?
Winters are mild and rainy, snow only has fallen twice in the past 5 years. Spring and autumn are very short and you hardly notice them. Summers have become more humid than before, and can be rainy. This year, we've had less than 5 weeks of hot weather, and even that, was spread out over 5 months...
