What do you like about Oslo?
The parks, the public transportation system, the spring and the summer and the public facilities. Tce city centre is small, and you can walk from east to west without getting exhausted.
What do you dislike about Oslo?
The long winter, the arcitecture of some areas are ugly and not peoplefriendly. I don't like the strong segregation between rich and poor areas, even though its minimal compared to other western cities like Paris.
What are your favorite parts of the city to live and/or hang out in?
The parks in summertime, like Frognerparken, Stensbergparken and Sofienbergsparken which are really great hang-outs for people and families in all ages, work, social relations.
How expensive is it?
It is really expensive. It's more expensive than Tokyo, in other words, you cant find any place more expensive to live.
Is it safe?
I reckon its safe. I am very very seldom afraid, and have never been threatened. Of course things happen here as well, but its a little city and if you want to find danger, you have to look them up.
How is the weather?
Very very up and down. Snow, wind, cold, sun, hot. Winter is long and grey, summer is good even when wet. Tempratures vary between -15-20 to +25 during one year
Norwegians might be not open, warm and velcoming by the first meeting, but if you get to know them they are and most norwegians are more open, nice, velcoming and friendly during spring and summer.
